Runic inscription

In the left tail of a dragon, a rune is probably visible
above the buoy, perhaps a U. Below are three runes S M N. On
the other side, only an S is visible.
The small fragment lies on, or at best, next
to, runestone U 24, which is found inside the floor in the
corner of the armory.
It is said that this piece could possibly
belong to U 24, but I have difficulty seeing any clear
connection in the ornamentation..

Typical of sandstone is the many different
layers that it is made up of, which form a unique pattern in
the stone's profile. This is clearly visible above on U 28.
But since sandstone is
sensitive to abrasion and the corner where U 24 lies on the
floor is often used as a storage area, it would be a good
deed if the runestone were lifted up and placed in a safer
place together with U 28.
That's when we need a museum
on Ekerö, for protection and public viewing!
