Munsö with Viking Age sea level
With 5-7 meters above sea level, Munsö turns
into a group of islands. Between these islands there are
various waterways for Viking Age boats and ships. Even the
major waterway to and from Gamla Uppsala probably passed
through Munsö.
Runestones like to be where people pass to be
seen, so somewhere along the old sailing route through Munsö
the missing U 12a should be found.
