To create this intro image
I had to use a very old image.
Runic inscription
Sven and Halvdan and Tora had this stone
erected after Viking, their father, and for Tägn, their
brother.
God help their spirit.

About the runestone
The runestone was also a marker for a
property boundary and stood on the shore of a now dry
strait.
On the other side of the strait there was
another runestone with the same mission but for the
neighbor's land area, runestone U
36.
Difficult to visit and poorly maintained
I have visited this stone several times and
it is so overgrown with lichen that it is impossible to make
out the motif or any runes. Someone has tried to paint it in
desperation but with the wrong kind of paint and lack of
knowledge.
To create the intro image at the top, I had
to use a very old image.

If our runestones in the landscapes are not
taken care of and made accessible to visitors, they risk
being destroyed in various ways through negligence and lack
of knowledge, or even being moved because people don't even
see that it is a runestone.

Runestone U 34 is in great need of runestone
care.

But at least there is a sign at the
location...

Another problem is that the runestone is
currently located in the middle of farmland, which makes it
inaccessible during much of the summer.

Together with
runestone U 36, the two runestones stood on either side
of the strait and the important property boundary. Today,
only a deep ditch is visible at the site due to land uplift.
Runestone U 36
on the opposite side has been moved a short distance away
from today's farmland and can be seen by the arrow up on the
field island.
